Mr. Scott Power

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! Words cannot express how excited I am to begin this new school year with our students, staff, families, and Carson community. I look forward to working collaboratively to ensure that all students learn, grow, are challenged to achieve success. We will accomplish this through hard work, grit, and a growth mindset. We will also remember that our students are children and need to have fun along the way!

Within the student handbook, you will find important information that will help you to have a successful school year. Please take the time to read it together as a family because it contains our school policies and procedures.

This time of the year is understandably very busy. With that being said, I strongly encourage you to embrace this moment, become familiar with our school, be invested in your child’s education, ask questions, and please sign up to volunteer in our classrooms. We need all hands on deck to ensure success for our students as they are well on their way to being positive contributors to our community and greater society.

Again, I am enthusiastic about the school year ahead. It is an honor to be the Principal of Rachel Carson, and I am very fortunate to be able to work with all of you to provide a high-quality education for all of our students. It’s a great day to be a Falcon!
