Program Description: Beginners through advanced players are welcome at Chess Club! We will adjust each Chess Club to the students who attend to make sure all players learn! Beginners will learn chess fundamentals from castling to checkmate. We will learn tactics and checkmate patterns to build confidence finishing a game. We may even learn advanced tournament skills while learning from famous chess games!
Extra Information: Each kid will get a Chess T-shirt and we also hand out Trophies and Medals to our top in-class-tournament finishers on the final day of chess club.
Village Theatre – Drama Enrichment - ***Returning for Winter Session***

Class Description: Introduce your young artist to the world of theatre! In this dynamic class, students will bring beloved children’s books and fairytales to life. They’ll unleash their creativity through thrilling stories, imaginative play, and exciting games. This class features character building and drama activities that promote literary comprehension, confidence, and collaboration.

CreART Studios

Experience the power of collaboration in our group art activity, where teamwork creates wonders. Step into the future with robots, craft intricate straw sculptures, and uncover hidden surprises with scratch art.
Soccer
Grades: K-5

Class Description: Learn basic soccer skills through the use of games and the encouragement to be creative! Coaches will run programs that focus on fun, safety, and developing life skills that go beyond the soccer field. All levels of soccer players are encouraged to sign-up, most sessions start with a game of tag and then slowly start to integrate the game of soccer.
Students should bring athletic shoes (cleats preferred but not required), sweats or shorts, and a water bottle. We will be playing indoors so please do not wear cleats. Running shoes or indoor soccer shoes are acceptable.
Immersion Language - French

Class Description: Come and join us in a bilingual, multicultural education which opens doors and minds to the world. PANW offers language immersion classes for students who wish to get a head-start before high school and have fun while learning a language. The class is taught by an experienced teacher using the curriculum that is carefully designed by language experts in the field. Students are introduced to new vocabulary and their correct pronunciation periodically following a theme. The curriculum is designed for a year-round program to ensure progress to next level each year. With help of workbook and supplementary activities, students will engage and immerse in the language and enjoy cultural lessons while expanding knowledge and vocabulary on the subject on hand. Communicative approach is adopted, and lessons are constructed around five elements for elementary students: Total Physical Response Activities, Songs, Games, Crafts and Culture. Inspired by Montessori system, groups are organized by language level and age and work in groups or one to one to maximize learning outcome.

Class Description: LEGO® Mechanical Engineering class from LEAP4KidzTM offers an integrated STEM class curriculum, as well as history, language arts, and team decision making to children using LEGO® bricks and motors. This is a hands-on class where students will build and design working machines with Lego and receive an introduction to levers, gears, pulleys and more using batteries and motors! Emphasis on models teaching principles of physics, engineering, invention and innovation.
Robotics 101

Class Description: LEGO® Robotics101 class from LEAP4KidzTM offers an introduction to advanced Mechanical Engineering building and introduction to programming basics using block software. Build working LEGO Robots and Machines using computers, sensors, and program cause and effect motion. Build multiple models focusing on a different sensor or area of programming while solving challenges. Create projects big and small, individual and in teams while practicing STEM skills in reasoning, math, design, and problem-solving. Students must know how to turn on/off computer, use a mouse, and save a file prior to class.
Extra Notes: If sold out, will provide a free registration to 1 parent if they volunteer to chaperone all 8 weeks.
